Wonderful experience with Hoxhunt learning journey

Zalety:

Hoxhunt training is a part of our organization. In day to day world every day, we receive many spam, phishing, and malware in our inboxes. Hoxhunt training included great quality testing mail for its users to identify and earn badges. That not only generates learning interest but also provides broader knowledge and competition among members of the organization to see their rank & where they stand in the smart world. In a world full of cyber-attacks this is the most essential training.

Wady:

I am not a great fan of the calculation of the time taken for reporting a Hoxhunt training mail feature, because maybe someone is busy with other activities and might report once he/she has access to mail. In that case, their rank is going down as the time of reporting as soon as a mail is received also getting calculated.

Hoxhunt is worth!

Komentarze: Well overall, i would recomend Hoxhunt to every company that is dealing with a huge load of emails, as this is the best way to stay aware with not trusting mails.
Also the reward system of huxhunt is pretty motivating.

Zalety:

It takes you out of the Routine, out of feeling safety and staying more allert.

Wady:

Well funny to say but, sometimes Hoxhunt was too good, i was not expecting to read a hoxhunt mail.

Zalety:

What I like about the software is that it is intuitive to the process in your everyday use of Outlook / emails. There is not alot of steps you need to make. See something, say something etc..

Wady:

Trickery - it's not necessarily bad, just that a couple times I feel like I was duped when either missing an email or deleted knowing it wasn't for me.

Safety and confiable

Zalety:

It's very simple to use and have a soft interface

Wady:

There's nothing I didn't like. Everything right

Awareness of emails received in the Organization

Komentarze: Chep is a global Company, & have invested in Hoxhund, which is such a good tool for the users to be aware of spams/Hox emails, as the fraudsters are increasing every day, this is an excellent tool to protect company's statutory & other information.

Zalety:

response time is excellent, When, not sure, you can still click on the Hox tab, they will respond, whether it's a positive hit & advise what you need to do. awards are given to encourage you to be alert of unwanted & dangerous emails, that could have an impact on the business information.

Wady:

to be honest, I have not had any issues with Hoxhunt, at this present moment

Nice to have security email while on line.

Komentarze: It is a daily reminder that it is easy to get complacent and open the wrong email. This program reminds me to look closely at the sender and content before progressing further.

Zalety:

The system send out test emails to keep you on your toes. It can also work with emails you detect and secure them until the review of their being legitimate people/companies with out fear of being hacked or possible scammed.

Wady:

Not sure if the emails always get noticed. Reviewing of the overall progress make me wonder what I missed.

Protect your company by protecting yourself

Komentarze: It's very positive, I enjoy to use the product since about 5 years.

Zalety:

Hoxhunt is a perfect security awareness increasing tool, sending users authentic-looking, but phishing emails, which require immediate actions. The most complicated thing is that emails content can be quite closer to your current situation (e.g. you will have a business trip in couple of days and suddenly receive hotel's cancellation, which was booked for you). So it's not that simple to correctly distinct what is true.

Wady:

Sometimes it can be so "real", so your blood pressure rises. "Your car on corporate parking has been scratched", "You need to pay an additional fee" and so forth.

I think it's a very useful tool for safety and for practicing in order to recognize alarm bells right away.

At the moment I have not found any flaws. In case I find one I will report it in the future.

Hoxhunt - A practical tool to prepare people for real world threats

Komentarze: Very good. Good training and awareness of potential threats out there and allows me to share those experiences with other non-users of the product (like my parents) on things to watch out for.

Zalety:

The simulations of potential cyber threats are an excellent mechanism to help bring awareness to people regarding the options out there. I like the follow up learnings that take place thereafter working through the thought processes behind the threat, how it works and how it is meant to guide people towards making poor decisions. The practical tips on how to deal with these problems then make much more sense because you realise what they were trying to do.

Wady:

Product is fine to use but some of the threat mails are too obvious and need to be tailored better to try and simulate a threat. For example, I work for a company headquartered in Finland. And often the threats that come through are written in the Finnish language. However I am based in South Africa, so I immediately know if an email is a Hoxhunt threat purely because of the language used in the mail as opposed to testing a specific principle / risk / mode of attack.

Gamification of Security

Komentarze: Definitely paying more attention to cybersecurity with email now than ever before.

Zalety:

Instant feedback when a test message is either detected or followed by a user. I was trapped once but thankfully it was a linkedin related message I opened on a phone. BUSTED! Sends periodic realistic scam-type emails to see if you're paying attention. Quickly evaluates real spam and scam messages that you click the Hoxhunt button for in Outlook. Works seamlessly. Keeps track of your progress with an overall armor rating that people around you easily see when you get a message. Also people actively talk about catching test messages now keeping security on our minds between annual trainings or corporate reminders.

Wady:

Doesn't seem to do much about spam emails. Reporting them doesn't seem to get tracked.

Fun and Educative platform

Zalety:

Hoxhunt has given me more awareness about spam and junk emails and how they compromise our information, more than any other similar platform I have used. The feature I found most attractive is the simulated spam emails and how we get points when we identify and report the emails. It feels like I am playing a game but actually I am getting educated at the same time i get a sense of achievement when I unlock more and more levels.

Wady:

I recently reported an actual spam email. The initial response was the status was unsure. I was told I might not get the result of that reporting but your team will do everything in the background. I was unsatisfied with it. It was the time I actually reported a spam email and I wanted to hear the results after the analysis.

A blend of education, engagement and interaction

Komentarze: All in all, I personally learned about a bunch of different types of attacks. The good thing about this is that you not only learn about the attack itself, but also how to prepare for the attacks.

Zalety:

Hoxhunt offers training, knowledge bases, customisation, great UI and design, all kept simple and easy to use. It is also relatively easy to implement. The customer support is also helpful as you can also submit feature requests. I use Hoxhunt about 2 times a day because of the email training and sometimes because of the built-in training within Hoxhunt. All in all, it is a learning tool that is very easy to integrate because of all the features mentioned above.

Wady:

Nothing in particular, maybe the leaderboard needs an overhaul, its a bit confusing.

Best way to improve your cybersecurity awareness

Komentarze: Its easy to use and definitely raises your awareness for phishing e-mails and other security threats. Would recommend for everyone.

Zalety:

The software uses a hands-on approach, allowing the user to make mistakes and then explaining how to avoid making similar mistakes. The point reward system provides a sense of achievement and also makes the process fun, allowing you to compare your progress with your colleagues within the company. I always considered myself strong, when it comes to e-mail security, but I must admit, that Hoxhunt managed to catch me off guard with their perfectly tailored e-mails.

Wady:

There is nothing to dislike in this software. Sometimes, when you're out of office, you could miss an training e-mail or two, but I guess software does not get information on your absence. So the early bird gets the worm.

Knowing we have it, it keeps me on my toes to actually look closely at the emails and not just delete them or pass them by. Or even worse, click on them.

Wady:

I'm competitive, so I don't like that if I'm on vacation or out of the office for a few days if I miss one it goes as missed if I don't click it in a specific amount of days. I seem to miss 1 every time i'm out of the office. I want my stars!

Hoxhunt keeps me on my toes

Komentarze: I have enjoyed using Hoxhunt to learn more about spamming and phishing tactics that scammers can use to steal your money or your identity. Using it the past 18 months has made me more aware of not only my work email buy my personal email accounts as well.

Zalety:

The product is easy to use and it keeps me wary of possible spam/phishing attempts. Any time I see something suspicious now, I make sure to click on the Hoxhunt button in Outlook to double check it's validity. The learning pieces are fun and it adds a competitive nature to what otherwise might seem like a boring training.

Wady:

I'd like to see the product continue to evolve with the way they are trying to trick you. I see that a lot of the "hoxhunt" emails come from the same people within our company and since we rarely receive emails from those employees, they are relatively easy to spot.

Great way to train and catch up on cyber threats

Zalety:

The training is very interactive, and I love how the emails simulate real world threats. They've caught me out a couple of times, lol

Wady:

Some of the training emails come to me during PTO, and I wish the delay in reporting the email wouldn't be penalized as a "missed" email, as I don't check my work emails during PTO.

Must have for corporations and employees

Zalety:

It makes one aware of the evolving methods of the attacks used. Keeps you informed and also allows to report potential threats which help organization keep the networks and data safe. In today's business environment it is very important to have data protection. Most of "learning emails" are skipped by users but with Hoxhunt users directly get involved and can understand in real time how much careful and aware they have to be not just while using the organization email but their own personal stuff as well.

Wady:

More stimulation emails as the user progresses up the level.

A challenging partner

I really like the challenge to discover the dangerous email they sent to keep the attention always up.

I think the dashboard appearance can be little bit more attractive.

Hoxhunt phishing simulation feature

Komentarze: Fantastic tool for end user awareness. The weakest point in security are users, so, teaching them on how to handle and how to securely use IT devices is necessary.

Zalety:

The hoxhunt phising simulation is a great functionality that provides great phishing simulation. The phishings are really realiable and easy to be phished, which is very important. Many phishing emails are really relatable to the environment we're inserted and they could trick on you easily. Hoxhunt plugin for Office is marvelous, making it easy to report. Once the tool is based on gamification, it makes you want to report all phishing emails, encouraging us, the players, to report more and more. Mini trainings on the platform is good, once it encovers the critical points around end-user security, such as strong passwords, how to detect phishings and others.

Wady:

None at the moment. I really enjoy the platform.

User Experience

Komentarze: My overall experience is good and satisfying. The idea of creating awareness through such simulations gives a feel like we are playing some game and it motivates us to play more.

The simulated email educates us to understand and differentiate actual threats.

Sometimes, it feels like the simulated emails are revealing and easy to identify. In my opinion, it is mainly because of the topics chosen.
