Zalety:

Furthermore, Asana's extremely adjustable and attractive GUI makes interacting with it a lot more enjoyable. It was well worth the money.

Wady:

When you set up a new account, you naturally are opted in to the email notifications, which can be really annoying and a pain to remove. My only suggestion to the Asana team would be to change that.

Very handy project management software for SMBs

5,0 3 tygodnie temu Nowy

Komentarze: I love using Asana to manage my business. We literally have everything we're planning to do on there. From stuff like sourcing and logistics, to marketing, we use it to manage our projects in various areas of our work. It's intuitive and easy to set up, and it's got a lot of features for small businesses to log and plan their projects. Would definitely recommend overall.

Zalety:

I love how you can use it even as a very small company. A lot of the other project management tools we evaluated were either only for large companies or had really low usage limits. Whereas with Asana, we can get all the stuff we want done, and more, without having to jump up three plans in the process. It's also very easy to implement and learn how to use in the beginning

Wady:

Nothing sticks out that much, we get the odd bug or issue here and there but it works great almost all the time

Rozważane rozwiązania alternatywne: monday.com

Powody przejścia na produkt: Asana: Asana looked much more suited to small-scale use, whereas the other two had harsh usage limits that would've made it a bit costly for us to use properly.

Fine, mostly

3,0 4 tygodnie temu Nowy

Komentarze: It does what it does 'fine', it wouldn't be so widespread and one of the go to options if it didn't, however, it suffers from what any product like this does, and is that you can end up spending more time scheduling and rescheduling the workload than actually completing the work if you're not careful

Zalety:

Fairly well known so good chance new hires come with a basic level of understanding from previous employment, not a massively high barrier to entry to get started with the basics, but some more advanced features are a little esoteric.

Wady:

Support's ropey and integration seems to be harder work than it needs be, documentation can be outdated, misleading and straight up wrong in some instances. Missing some fairly obvious features that're repeatedly requested in the support forum but instead we get something kind of random and mostly useless that I guess a big client paid for and they've rolled it out to everyone to make it look like ongoing development is there regardless of effectiveness whilst ignoring community demand for things that'd be actually useful to a wider base.

Awesome software but we couldn't get people to adopt it.

4,0 3 miesiące temu

Komentarze: It's a great piece of software and in another organisation I think I could have happily adopted it. However, it wasn't the right fit for our organisation or our users.

Zalety:

Asana's free plan is very generous, and would have covered our main needs. Their commercial pricing is also fair and provides good value for money. As an organisation, we work across multiple offices and countries and good project management was always a bit of a gap. I was very enthusiastic about Asana and loved the depth of features, particular the granular tracking, and the good integration with external tools (we have worked hard to try and connect our workflows together). The ability to communicate at multiple levels within projects was also something I found very appealing. We spent quite a bit of time setting up projects as part of the testing process, and I enjoyed the ability to do it properly (compared to the very complicated set of google sheets we had been using prior to this)

Wady:

The biggest gap we found was that for users not steeped in project management or project management tools the learning curve was too high. They either used it superficially, or avoided using it all. It was not a criticism of the software per se, as the UI is well-thought out and there are lots of support resources. However for an organisation like ours, we needed something far simpler for our users, as technological resistance is always a challenge. WE may not have used it to it's full extent, but it would have been useful to have the ability to simplify some of the viewsm as not all users needed or wanted the depths of controls presented to them. I also found the reporting slightly frustrating. It wasn't actually a core feature we needed, but the reports that did exist were sometimes frustratingly incomplete.

Rozważane rozwiązania alternatywne: Time Doctor i Trello

Powody wybrania produktu: Asana: We needed better tracking and oversight of projects.

Powody przejścia na produkt: Asana: We ended up going with Trello rather than Asana due to the simpler learning curve and the ability to use it at multiple elvels.

LOVE Asana

5,0 2 miesiące temu Nowy

Komentarze: Overall, Asana is INCREDIBLE. I love the ease of everything. Once it's set up, it requires very little maintenance. I've used Asana as a CRM, ATS, Marketing Management system, project manager, employee management, etc. It's amazing to automate tasks and for project management. It's great to implement in companies (as long as they're willing and open to using it). Highly recommend.

Zalety:

I am personally a big fan of Asana. My previous employer used Slack, and I hated it - it seemed clunky and hard to find things. I did a lot of research to find a better system for files, organization, project management, etc. I found Asana and fell in love. It's very similar to Monday.com. Templates are provided to make it easier to set up. There is a brief learning curve, but it's pretty easy. If you're super tech-savvy, then it takes time to set up exactly how you want, but once you do, then it's minimal maintenance. You can even automate tasks and have it integrated with other apps that you use! I love the sleek look of Asana and the overall ease. It's saved me so much time and helped keep me organized.

Wady:

Only a few things that I'm not a big fan of. If you have a big team, then it gets costly pretty quickly - it's $10 - $31/per user per month, depending on the plan. Another thing is that it does take some time to set up IF you are very particular and want to automate a lot of tasks and projects. There are not many cons, considering most project management software takes time to set up and can be costly.

Good things can also be free

5,0 4 tygodnie temu Nowy

Komentarze: Asana is one of the best alternatives that can currently be found in the project manager category when looking for a solution as a small or medium-sized business. It has everything you need, a large number of integrations, an excellent free tier, and paid plans that are within the reach of any small business. The user interface is simple and intuitive, so anyone, whether or not they have experience with this type of application, will feel comfortable navigating the options available to them.

Zalety:

Asana is a project management application that manages to delight its users with a free tier that shows all the features that any small business could need. Of course, after enjoying its simple and intuitive user interface and finding Asana an excellent tool for managing tasks and projects, both alone and in a team, the next step is the payment layer, where Asana also helps us, presenting low-cost options that do not suffocate small businesses.

Wady:

One of the problems, not only with Asana but with almost all project managers, is that many of the main options are diluted among the sea of possibilities they offer. For users who are new to using this type of application, this can cause stress and end up making their work less efficient. Of course, this is not just an issue for Asana; it is for almost all applications in this category; they want to do everything because the projects are usually complex, and the user who use them are very diverse.

Rozważane rozwiązania alternatywne: Basecamp, monday.com i ClickUp

Powody wybrania produktu: Asana: I didn't like the user interface, it felt old. Despite using it for several years, and also having a good free tier and low-cost payment options, I ended up looking for a more modern option.

Powody przejścia na produkt: Asana: The excellent free tier, the premium trial without card entry and the paid tier with affordable plans.

Asana Overview in helping NGO`s manage their work

5,0 w zeszłym miesiącu Nowy

Komentarze: My overall experience with Asana has been very positive. It has transformed the way my team manages projects, improving our efficiency and communication. The ability to track progress, assign tasks, and set deadlines has made a significant difference in our productivity. Asana has become an indispensable part of our daily workflow.

Zalety:

Asana's interface is incredibly user-friendly, making it a breeze to manage projects, tasks, and deadlines. The collaboration features are robust and allow for seamless teamwork. I also appreciate the customizability and the ability to create various project views, such as lists, boards, and timelines. The integration with other tools and applications is a big plus.

Wady:

The learning curve may be steep for some users who are new to project management software. It would be great to have more comprehensive reporting features and advanced task dependencies in the future.

Rozważane rozwiązania alternatywne: Trello

Powody przejścia na produkt: Asana: We chose Asana over the alternatives primarily because of its user-friendly interface and the ability to create a variety of project views. While the other tools had their merits, Asana's ease of use and robust collaboration features were the deciding factors for us.

Asana - Perfect tool for Project Management

4,0 2 miesiące temu Nowy

Komentarze: Using Asana, it's easy to track progress and manage different tasks in projects. it has a good user interface to collaborate with the teams and notify them based on tasks.

Zalety:

I like the most about Asana is we can easily collaborate with our team members and divide the tasks accordingly, so it is very easy to manage task and achieve project management efficiently. Another good thing I would say it's having very good user interface which supports drag and drop feature as well to move different tickets or tasks to different faces of project management. And it also integrates with many third party providers which makes our workflow very manageable.

Wady:

It offers limited task management features, if we have different deployment needs as per project like development, staging, testing etc., then there are no options of moving tasks to these options instead we can only change status of that task. And sometimes locating older tasks or tickets that someone else from the team worked on in the past can be challenging.

Best choice or good alternative

4,0 w zeszłym roku

Komentarze: Good! Asana is not as difficult to get the hand out with. I did manage to set-up all my tasks and projects personally. Though, I haven't used it for a long time when I did tested Monday.com.

Zalety:

I can bet in all of Asana's features from Task management, Scheduling, Materials management, Gantt Charts, Collaborations and the likes. Save for time tracking which is not (yet) available. The Free Pricing however, is generous enough to collaborate with up to 10 or 15 more individuals. Other top PMS has less to nothing - or just one user allowed.

Wady:

User Interface. Asana needs to improve on there user interface to be at par with Monday.com. I've been using Monday and never looked back (except maybe if someday they will overrun Monday with features. Time Tracking. This one matters for some users, specially freelancers and online nomads alike. Just wondering why this wasn't integrated just yet. Set-up. It wasn't that easy to get started for non-techie users. So patience a virtue. Though PMS are understandably complicated, Monday take the pie in this domain.

Keeping the Team on Task

5,0 3 lata temu

Komentarze: Outstanding. My primary goal using Asana was to replace the traditional procedure manual with something more robust and dynamic. The ability to schedule, repeat, and assign tasks means I complete and and forget it and until I'm reminded on the next cycle. Everything I need is contained in the project.

Zalety:

Easy to enter data and uploading of attachment to tasks. Very much appreciate the ability to have a conversation about the task in the task and not fill up my email. Customizable fields are a huge plus because I can track details and progress in a manner that meets my work style. Like the ability to drag and drop and colorize different things to make spotting what I'm looking for easier.

Wady:

Although you can add followers to tasks, inability to assign multiple team members to the same task without duplicating the tasks is frustrating. There several small user interface things I would improve about Asana. I wish the project list could own the entire left hand column instead of sharing with with other high level functions. Those could be moved to the top. Having to click "Show more Projects" to view the whole list is unnecessary.

Rozważane rozwiązania alternatywne: monday.com

Powody przejścia na produkt: Asana: We were already using the free version and had loaded up lots of information into the system. Switching to a different system with minimal differences would not be worth it. Different systems work differently, but they all accomplish roughly the same tasks. No significant benefits would be gained from making the change.

Good Startup Project Management Tool

3,0 4 lata temu

Komentarze: It was a very good tool to use, highly user friendly, quite effective and very visually attractive. This tool is great for startups in my opinion and the price is fair for the features it has.

Zalety:

I like how user friendly it is, the aesthetics (looks), it's very neat and colorful at the same time, it provides a good option for organization and I think it's a good tool for startups, it makes planning, task assignment, tracking and registering much easier.

Wady:

I think the software is amazing but it lacks some features seen on more robusts tools such as Zoho Projects, still, this tool can integrate with other small tools that can give you access to Gantt Charts or timelines, etc. The problem is you have to pay for those additional integrations.

Rozważane rozwiązania alternatywne: monday.com

Powody wybrania produktu: Asana: Because Excel can work but it's easier to get human errors due to the tool manipulation, the Asana features allow you to have a better control over what's been planned, it sends you alerts and allow you to tag users, chat with them directly over a task or a file, attach files to a specific task or subtask, which you can''t easily do in Excel, and also user interface is much better in Asana.

Powody przejścia na produkt: Asana: For the price and the features, when I tried the free version I felt much more comfortable with this tool than the others.

Best way to coordinate work between agile teams

5,0 4 lata temu

Komentarze: Asana is one of those tools you can't live without when you add it to your workflow. It offers great capabilities to coordinate people and leave all decisions made about a topic in the same place. If everybody in your organization is using it, you can really leverage its power. Its beauty relays in its simplicity, you can't make fancy things such as track progress of a big project distributed between several teams, but you can use your imagination to go over these issues. The API will give you all the flexibility you need if you know how to code.

Zalety:

- The ease of use of Asana is one of the best out there no matter the product. It's so easy to start creating task and discover what can you do with them it easily adjusts to your work flows, specially if you work with lots of people. - Everybody can edit tasks, this allows to use Asana as a hub for communicating everything related to a topic, tagging tasks and mentioning people so they get notified. - Hotkeys, I hate going back and forth between the keyboard and mouse (hate using touchpad), Asana provides hotkeys for almost everything you need to do, tab will be your magic key.

Wady:

Poor reporting. I work in agile projects and would like to see BurnUps and burn downs, be able to define sprints and reporting associated to the big picture. To do so, you have to manually create projects that act as sprints, you end up with lots of projects and lose the big picture. On the bright side, it provides an API, so I connected to it, and using tags I was able to create customized reporting. Expensive, its cost compare to world-class project management solutions, like Jira. I believe it's worth the money, but as a small company we couldn't afford it. Practical way to manage my daily task and project

5,0 3 lata temu

Komentarze: Overall, Asana is one of the most complete Project Management that i ever tried and use. Increasing our effectiveness in planning and tracking a project progress is never a issue with Asana. Deploying a complex project is possible with the help of Kanban method to help us plan the project carefully with visual aid.

Zalety:

I really like that my team and I can collaborate on project and task easily. The Gantt chart let us to planning a project effectively as we can visualized the activities that related with the project. Resource space has unlimited size that we can add to the project and view which project is dependable or assign to the resource.

Wady:

There are not much downside that i can thinking while operating this software. The feature is well build and really responsive with my need in completing my project and daily task. The only thing that i think that they should improve is the video tutorial, there are some of the feature that not covered by the video tutorial.

Asana is a great task management tool

4,0 w zeszłym roku

Komentarze: I was awarded a small but important project for my department, as it could bring significant benefit to the business in the future if managed in an optimally way.
Instead of relying on the many rounds of emails that are exchanged between project managers and other people involved, I decided to simply proceed to create a project on Asana Basic.
The first time I used It.
This allowed us to keep track of everything that matters, giving us an overview of where we are going.
Asana allowed us to monitor the workflows on our teams and see the progress of the work at any time, saving endless updating meetings. Time we all know how crucial it is.

Zalety:

- Asana's interface is extremely well designed, the best possible way for a fun and inviting user experience. I hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoyed using it. - Asana is an excellent communication tool, it allows you to eliminate a lot of stress from disorganization in communicating with the team. Problems, requests for feedback, clarifications, questions, and suggestions, will all end up in the activities through the appropriate comment function. The only one allowed. - Trying Asana Basic, with a team of up to 15, for free, allowed me to work with three small teams, breaking down projects into manageable tasks and setting deadlines for completion. The ability to share documents between teams has also proved useful. -Asana Basic allowed us to download the app for iOS or Android devices to work and consult updates wherever we are, even offline. We like it.

Wady:

1. It was not easy to set up a project at the beginning, the learning curve is tough. In Asana, projects are containers that allow you to create one or more tasks within them. This is the furthest away from a Project Manager's concept of a project. 2. I found that having to start over every time I created a project, even when it was repeatable, was like wasting time. 3. In the free plan, you cannot create private projects, meaning that the project is visible and editable by every member of the team. 4. Asana organizes all resources horizontally, flattening their hierarchy. There are no different roles, just people and tasks. 5. The management of risk situations and the consequent negotiation between the resources involved in the project is not envisaged. 6. This is a very serious shortcoming, especially for those who work remotely. It is not possible to assign an hourly or daily cost to resources that are part of the team.

Asana- one of the best and simplest Task managment tools

4,0 3 lata temu

Komentarze: Overall experience with asana is quite satisfactory as it delivers what it promises. I use it alongside other tools to manage daily tasks and project-related works. Its to-do list-like approach gives an easier way to create tasks and manage them easily. You just keep a tab open for it and keep on marking complete the tasks you have accomplished. It's that simple.

Zalety:

The most beautiful and user-friendly thing in asana is its to-do list-like approach for managing tasks in each project. the whole project or a particular task out of it can be assigned to other users and team members. Another incredible thing is that you can divide a task into further sub-tasks to make it easier to use and track task progress.

Wady:

It goes toe to toe with Trello's similar set of tools. Trello card-like approach comes in handy in viewing all the tasks at hand in a glimpse as well as giving the ability to manage task queues. You can transfer tasks from one card to another. It also doesn't have enough tools for cost and time tracking for wages etc calculation.

Rozważane rozwiązania alternatywne: Trello

Powody przejścia na produkt: Asana: Asana has a simple to-do list-like interface that makes it easier to create tasks on the go as well as mark them complete when done. No need to fill quite long forms for creating tasks. But it gives the ability to use extra fields in case you need those.

Easy to use, great for accountability

4,0 6 lat temu

Komentarze: Our company has increased our ability to provide clients with deliverables. We have been able to say we meet deadlines. We also have not sacrificed quality and have been given the ability to focus on that rather than focusing on tasks/timelines.

Zalety:

It works for both my visually creative people and my operational people. It allows ease of mind for myself when assigning tasks to others. It's also easy to use for those who aren't "tech savvy" or who struggle with learning new things. They provide a lot of insight into how to use/customize the software for your organization. Having implemented it across my organization in the "premium" version, we have found ourselves more organized, more goal focused, and are no longer worried about remembering the details. It's all there for us. Very happy with the future updates coming out to make it less marketing/sales oriented with abstracts to more process oriented and operational-ized without losing the ease-of-use features. We use it primarily for HR (training, onboarding) and our Client Projects (keeping track of tasks and deliverables while keeping an eye on due dates). We have just implemented it into Marketing/Sales and we maintain about 75% compliance.

Wady:

It was hard to find information on the premium version in a way that showed me exactly what it did. Eventually, a person contacted me by email and provided me with a webinar, but I couldn't find the same webinar on their site which was a little frustrating. Their customer support has gotten better, but it still needs a little work (chat is great, but would love a dedicated account director). Still lacks features that other PM software has which I would like. I know it's coming soon though. I rated lower on Features/Functionality and Value for Money because I think those go hand in hand. The Free version was fine for us except I wanted more. If there were more features I think it would be more worth the money. As it stands, you could take or leave the premium version. Among peers, I usually recommend the Free version and implementing that before moving towards the Premium version. I did that for about 6 months before committing to Premium.

The App That Makes Me Count My Lucky Stars

5,0 5 lat temu

Zalety:

Asana If apps were food, my mouth would WATER when I mention Asana. It's not just any meal. When it comes to organizational apps, it's THE best dessert. It's SWEEEEEET! It's the app that I'm actually using to write the draft of this review on. Every time I need to move all my to-do's from my head onto another place, I jot them down on Asana. I can use physical calendars, ( I actually do like them)... but Asana has been the ONE system that I use to jot down my goals, to-do's , projects, systems, outlines, notes, reminders, pretty much everything except my shopping list and things I have to fully write. I love this app so much that I'm actually quite proficient at using it thanks to a course that I took called Asana HQ http://bit.ly/asanahq. It has taught me how to maximize my account that I created using my own domain. The beauty of Asana is that it's simple to use, easy to create lists on, group those things into tasks or projects and just literally move forward in life. I have become considerably more proficient in life thanks to Asana. Yes you can buy a computer, and buy some software and gear for your dreams... but if you don't have a tool in place that allows you to nudge yourself forward, you'll most likely be stuck for a very long time. Asana is SO great that I count my lucky stars knowing that it's free. Try it... and don't be surprised if you fall in love with it. It's perfect for the little thoughts you don't want to forget, it's also perfect for the

Wady:

I can't think of anything. I like it that much. If I had a magic wand, maybe more free features would be nice. I wish they added a progress bar to your tasks or projects to visiaully better be able to gauge the progress we're making. But it's already a great app.

Practical tool for planning and scheduling projects and managing tasks.

5,0 7 miesięcy temu

Komentarze: The key issue we are addressing is keeping medium and long-term projects organized in one location, especially when numerous people or departments are involved. Being able to establish schedules is also very important for tracking progress. We have also discovered that Asana may be beneficial for tasks that we previously performed in an Excel spreadsheet, such as establishing our yearly budget, whether you are working in a team or managing projects and people on your own, with or without expertise managing resources. In comparison to other systems, tracking project progress, bottlenecks, recovery, and efficiency is not a huge issue when using Asana remotely or in a typical office environment.

Zalety:

I like being able to click "My Tasks" to see what I need to prioritize depending on deadlines, including multi-workflow projects; it helps me remain on top of my work and guarantee I get everything done on time. With Asana, an easy-to-use project management application that is useful even for rookie or inexperienced users, creating, scheduling, and managing operational workflow, development projects, and team performance becomes simple and comfortable.

Wady:

I dislike it when random people in my workplace assign me jobs in Asana with no context or explanation; I believe there should be an option to refuse assignments or seek extra information before they are automatically placed to their task list. Asana is a straightforward and easy-to-use application, however beginner users may struggle to utilize it when they are unfamiliar with how to use it, for example, for project Gantt charts, plan time tracking, and other comparable project functions. counterpart software.

Asana project management software

5,0 4 lata temu

Komentarze: More than saying it is an intelligible, fast and modern way. Useful in free version. It is multifunctional The timeline view facilitates the management of dependencies. This tool helps you prioritize projects and pending tasks. It gives you the ease of seeing what you have worked on and accomplished before to assess progress. This software is truly useful for teams, facilitating the ways for projects to be completed on time. In my experience, Asana solved several problems where I worked as a team, we worked comfortable to give the company full growth. Asana as a project management program gives the function of monitoring dependencies. Be comfortable with larger or larger projects in which the relationships between tasks are more complicated. In my opinion it is a suitable tool for companies to grow larger.

Zalety:

Pro: It is ideal to organize your work, Asana allows you to plan and structure the work in a comfortable way for you and your work team, in this way help you meet the deadlines, the platform offers you the creation of visual project plans to see how each step is assigned over time . As well as providing you with setting priorities and deadlines, sharing details and assigning tasks, all in a single tool, it is super practical, to progress with your commitments, with it it is much easier to identify risks and eliminate recommended obstacles using custom fields to track the information that is most important for your team or company Even when the plans change, it gives you the opportunity to advance projects and tasks at each stage of the project by giving a report on how your work is going. Share the results with your team and see how the work progresses to see what is on track and what needs attention. You know how the work evolves and can be aligned with everyone and the goals, also use the timeline to create a plan that shows you how your entire project fits and helps you keep the job in the best way as things change . It allows you to manage time viewing the work in a calendar as well as easily locate gaps and overlays in your schedule and make adjustments quickly. Turn common processes into templates that guide your entire team and you can use . It gives you the handling information with the right people. Make teams and projects private to create a safe space for sensiti

Wady:

Cons: Some articles can be improved (but that's what the reviewers are for) It is limiting for the organization of projects for the team calendar, but will progressively improve . Now it is my pleasure in my work to assign two people to a task so that there is support for the work, when someone is absent, we are human and things can happen, You can't combine calendars but I'm sure they will solve it . It would be good if it is implemented more easily with Outlook or Gmail. It would be great to facilitate sending email tasks to Asana . As well as, the creation of new section headings for tasks and lists can be improved. In addition to improving more aspects of the interface and make them customizable. It does not allow the personalization of funds but they are banalities, it is not important

Asana: A Powerful Work Management Tool

5,0 3 lata temu

Komentarze: Overall, I would recommend Asana because for experienced project managers it is an invaluable tool and it provides unparalleled customisability. Personally I find that Asana very effective at managing marketing campaigns and it keeps everything well organised.

Zalety:

Asana is an unique management tool that is significantly more flexible than other project management software. You can customise many things and tune them to your specific use case which is very useful. This is especially so when you are handling a less complex project where resource management isn’t fundamental to the work. For example, a marketing campaign can easily be managed on Asana because scheduling is very simple and efficient on Asana and you can customise your own template for your needs. The overall user interface is also very minimalist and clean. If this is difficult, there is a very helpful Asana guide that is available to users which includes tutorials, webinars etc. Another great thing about Asana is that it is consistently updated with new powerful features. For instance, the Project Overview tab was added in Jan 2021, and it provides a landing page where you can see all the team members on the project and their roles, important files or documents related to the work, and more. You can even embed videos and media on this page through various app integrations.

Wady:

Asana has become more expensive over the years and now it is more expensive than some of its competitors. Also Asana is very difficult for a beginner to use because of how much functionality it has. This means that you have to do tutorials and training to become more familiar with the software. Another slight disadvantage is that there is no time tracking in Asana, meaning that you cannot record how long each member worked on a task.

Great tool for small team and project management

4,0 6 lat temu

Komentarze: Don't try to talk anyone into Asana! I have found the successful launches are as follows 1. Its your team and you will only work through Asana and its just what it is. ( not the best feeling roll out, but I have never not had a team member come around one day and have a list of..did you knows about Asana features) 2. When someone is talking through an issue they are having that you know Asana could easily solve politely build the project bones right then and there and car sell them (wouldn't it be great if you had a tool that could show you... or how easy would your job be if you could always find the document xx emailed to you for project....) and when the head is nodding flip your screen towards them and be like "would it look something like this? 3. Just start using it and start rocking your job and when people start to wonder how you have organized your life and work in such a short period of time. tell them you aren't sharing your secret or your secret software... and I'll be damned if they don't all figure out what you are using and just plan adopt it and them come back around like they are some sort of secret tech agent that figured out your secret and cannot believe you were holding this back from them....even though you had a 3 month internal adoption campaign for it earlier in the year...*head shake*

Zalety:

Asana is a very easy to pick up software. I stumbled across it while on the search for something to help me stay on top my teams progress on the multitude of small to medium size projects they were involved in at our company. At the time my team was struggling to organize the fire drill level projects that seemed to be dropped off in person, emailed, or communicated through a variety digital outlets all day every day. A the time I was wasting time trying to help the five year old organization dial in on a communication method and project management philosophy. Having no luck trying to fix the problem company-wide I turned inward for a tool to help our team. Asana was exactly what we needed. The two biggest function i used right out of the gate were To do list and Email forward to task (forward any email into Asana through either a general email or a project specific email - whoever you put in the [To] becomes the owner of the task [CC] becomes a follower [subject] is the task title [body] becomes the task description. So many executives would just email me all day long with things that specific people on my team took care of, before Asana I had to email it to them and then keep a list of items to remember to follow up on and to follow up with the executive to make sure they got the response or service they were looking for. Enter Asana - Same as before I forward the email along adding the Asana email, big difference is now I have a digital list of what tasks I have forwarded on, can see the solution provided, can see the response from the executive, and get to sleep at night when my team member checks it of as done and it clears from my assigned to others list. Also helped with repeat questions as the executive team started to see the change in our department they slowly started to adopt Asana for themselves and their teams. Onvce they started interacting through Asana we stopped getting common repeat questions because as soon as they would start typing it the system would pull up previous items and ask if any of these were relevant to their question. Win Win, less emails, people empowered to have the answers they need without needing to file every communication themselves, only have to follow up on tasks I've assigned out when I get the "hey should someone have done something with this" pop up when the system feels like a task is going longer than usual. Also connects with ... nearly everything

Wady:

The dashboards are very basic. You are better off tracking larger projects between a three way Asana, Instagant, Harvest integration. It is great that you can create templates for larger projects or tasks that reoccur so you don't have to rebuild it every time, but its a pain that you cant have the people who do the task assigned to the template. you can but then they get blown up with reminders and end up spending time searching for to-do's that are not real because its in the template.

Asana Most helpful in Project Management

4,0 2 lata temu

Komentarze: I have used several project management software and this is the tool that seems to be most popular and functional with cross functional teams. Very few hiccups in the user experience. There are more expensive softwares with many more functions...but Asana is very proficient to get the job done for small and large teams or organizations

Zalety:

Asana is a great collaboration tool that helps teams work well together on integrated fronts and many different tasks. It has a lot of flexibility/customizations capabilities. It has a free plan to start with..but once you get into it..you see the value of buying a more advanced option.

Wady:

a bit confusing at first for some...but once you spend time with it...it makes sense

Effective project management

5,0 5 lat temu

Komentarze: Our Marketing team used the free version of Asana for over 5 years and really made it work for them to the point that we adopted it as an organization and purchased the pro version. We've been adding projects and it's now feeling cluttered, but I think that's just a process issue. I would recommend having clear guidelines on what constitutes a project and a routine for archiving projects to keep things clean from the onset.

Zalety:

Users don't have to be experts to get started with adopting this tool, but also has many advanced-level features and integrations. A "con" I turned into a "pro" through Asana's good knowledgebase was learning how to set up projects in Excel (allowing copy/paste and search/replace functionality for repetitive series of tasks) and importing into Asana as a new project -- initially they were taking too long. It's very easy to assign/change tasks in bulk. We have the Pro version and love the functionality of custom fields (although a con is that you only see the latest custom fields created by anyone and there's no controls so it can turn into inconsistencies or duplication of efforts.) Support was good and account manager used an onboarding template to outline our steps to help acclimate us.

Wady:

There are ways to control email notifications within each project (or turn off completely), but in spite of training, I still struggle with that as I set up new projects and getting enough, but not too many, reminders. Subtasks are great to hide granular-level items or breakdown a single task to multiple users, but they're not automatically assigned to the parent project of the task they're created under. Notifications don't include the parent project name and the task isn't always clear when taken out of context.
